Soon-to-be Home
About 2 weeks ago I packed my bags and spontaneously flew down to Melbourne to explore the city and shoot with a few like minded people.
I am looking to move down to Melbourne either in 2 months or next February, I absolutely can't wait to live there. To say that I had a great time would be an understatement, I hope you enjoy these happy snaps of my short but wonderful time in my soon-to-be home town.
(I also had two photo shoots whilst I was down, which will be uploaded in the coming weeks and when they are I will post a link right here)
The first thing I did was put on a warmer jacket and headed out to the street
I was already in love with the cute café's and local shops
Peeling paint is highly under rated
Alleyways full of surprises
Again, decaying walls and doors of sorts highly, highly under rated for their beauty
Trams blew my mind, why doesn't Brisbane have trams?
The building's were so much, more
The more theatres the better, I say

China town
The city seems more, alive, even more so at night
Kitchen in the wall at Hosier, oh also a Zoe
I love lane ways, I love them
I had my own Melbourne tour guide
I find this image beautiful, even with it's obvious technical flaws, it reminds me of a carousel and I like that
My first few hours of Melbourne left me wanting to explore further the next day
Off to Brighton Beach
The famous beach huts
Teaser from shoot 1
(I will be linking the post here when it is up)
Finishing up shooting with this gorgeous light
I am quite a big fan of Sofles work, so seeing quite a few of his artworks around the city was lovely!
The suburbs
Yum!
The mall, well one of them
In the middle of the mall
The abandoned motel's sign
Sneaky sofles
Only mildly terrifying
Teaser from shoot 2
(I will be linking the post when it is up)
Melbourne's abandonments walk all over Brisbane, as suspected
Toothless, Dreamworks exhibition at ACMI
Saying a final goodbye to the frequent public transport and brilliant weather as I got dragged back to Brisbane
I'll see you again soon Melbourne!
